The world s longest network of underground corridors extends for more than three hundred miles beneath Mammoth Cave National Park's picturesque hills and valleys. Guided tours will show you colorful stalactites and stalagmite formations, huge cavern rooms, and spectacular pits and domes. Families can dine in the gypsum-clustered Snowball Room, 267 feet underground. The cave's temperature is a steady fifty-four degrees. The park has many interpretive programs around a campfire. Guided horseback rides through the park are offered by Jesse James Riding Stables (502—773—2560) and bicycle trails range from easy to strenuous Boating and canoeing on the Green and Nolin rivers are popular April through October.
