Log Cabin Resort is on Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park; many of its rooms are either along the shoreline or have beautiful lake views. The resort's marina rents canoes, rowboats, and paddleboats, and there is a swimming area at the lake. Campfire programs are scheduled regularly.

Accommodations: The resort has lodge rooms that sleep four; these rooms have two queen-size beds and private bathrooms, plus lake and mountain views. A chalet located along the shoreline with lake and mountain views sleeps six and includes a small kitchen (no cooking or eating utensils provided), an outdoor barbecue, and a picnic table. Other accommodations include rustic cabins with kitchens and camping log cabins (bring or rent bedding) with outdoor picnic tables and campfires.

Spots, activities and attractions: Hiking, row boating, and fishing on Lake Crescent; many picnic areas are around the lake. The trail to Marymere Falls, a spectacular ninety-foot waterfall, is a flat three-quarter-mile walk. The Hoh Rain Forest and the Kalaloch Beach area, with tide pools and clamming, are nearby. Other local beaches are Salt Creek Beach, Park, and Rialto. Nearby Port Angeles has bowling, a public indoor pool, and roller-skating.
