A former dude ranch, this 130-bed hostel has family rooms available. At an altitude of eighty-two hundred feet it offers a spectacular view of the park's entire front range. The history of the ranch, which dates back to 1892, is captured in a collection of photographs and other memorabilia displayed in the hostel's common room.
Season: June through mid-September.
Accommodations: Private family rooms and family cabins can be reserved.
Special Features: Kitchen, linen rental, tennis, volleyball, barbecue, game room, and fireplaces. Hiking trails lead from the grounds into the Roosevelt National Forest. The hostel also provides visitors with information about nearby attractions and spots including old mining towns. Rental cars are available.

Spots, activities and attractions: The hostel manager shuttles guests to and from town. In addition to the park's diverse hiking trails, bike trails are close by.
