Season: Year-round for lodge, cabins, and marina. November through April for other facilities. Winter is the peak season, when rainfall and mosquitoes are at a minimum. The weather from June through November is very uncomfortable.
Accommodations: Twenty-four spacious air-conditioned cabins each have fully equipped kitchen, separate living room, and bedroom overlooking Florida Bay. The recently remodeled lodge has 102 air-conditioned rooms with two double beds, television, and a private bathroom. The resort also offers two types of fully equipped houseboats:
37-foot air-conditioned Gibson Sport which sleeps six and a Bay, take a white water bay cruise, or a two-hour wilderness tram tour. Motorized skiffs rental $60 per half day, $80 full day; canoes $22 per half day, $27 full day, $30 overnight; single and tandem kayaks are also available at reasonable rates. Bikes $7 per half day, $13 full day, $16 overnight. There is a pool for lodge and cottage guests as well as a dining room, marina store, and laundry facilities.
Options: Lodge rooms, double occupancy; cabins for up to four adults. Children under twelve stay free; cribs are free. Air-conditioned Gibson Sport (sleeps six); pontoon (sleeps eight).
