A beautiful 400-acre ranch set along the Dolores River in a wild, remote, slick-rock location, Entrada Ranch has two and half miles of private river beaches, a wonderful swimming hole, and private red rock canyons. With three houses, three cabins, and two sleeping shelters, the ranch accommodates 32 people. Fresh, organic fruits and vegetables from the ranch's bountiful gardens and eggs from its chickens are available in season.
Season: Year-round.
Accommodations: Families tend to stay in one of the rustic but comfortable houses, which are spaced apart for privacy and equipped with full kitchens and bathrooms. Susan's House has three bedrooms, one queen-size bed, four twin beds, a large living area, and a big screened porch. All houses have barbecue areas, rugged slab floors, clean white sheets, and stacked wood for a wood stove or fireplace.
Special Features: The ranch caretaker can make breakfasts and dinners for additional cost.

Spots, activities and attractions: Many hiking and biking trails lead from the ranch. Horseback riding and tours to look for dinosaur bones, petrified wood, and agates can be arranged. Organized river trips, rock climbing, canyoneering, calm water float trips, and white-water raft trips are available from Coyote Expeditions near the ranch. The Kokopelli bike trail, which extends to Moab, is ten miles away.
