Elk Refuge is across from the National Elk Refuge, which attracts eight thousand elk in winter and a variety of birds year-round. The inn also has horse corrals and a pasture, and the butte behind the hotel is the winter home for mule deer, which often roam the grounds.

Accommodations: A twenty-three unit motel with ten kitchen units. Each room has a full bath, color television, phones, and a private patio with valley views.
