These cabins, popular with families, are located in Colter Bay Village near the shores of Jackson Lake. Along the lakeshore is a beach and a full-service marina, and registered cabin guests can also use the pool at Jackson Lake Lodge five miles away. Float trips, the Indian Arts Museum, trail rides at the Colter Bay Corrals, and guided fishing are all within easy reach.
Season: Mid-May through early October.
Accommodations: There are 209 log cabins with bathrooms; each cabin sleeps up to six.
Children twelve and under stay free in parents' room.
Special Features: The village has a restaurant, grill, laundry facilities, sports shop, corral, and fully stocked grocery store.
Spots, activities and attractions: Families can take a short, easy hike from the Colter Bay Visitor Center to Swan Lake in search of swans. Near the cabins is the National Park Service amphitheater, with naturalist programs and guided nature hikes.
